Moving things out of the greenhouse and into tunnel #4 (tomatoes, eggplant, tomatillo, squash and cucumbers) and other trays out into tunnel #8 (cilantro, borage and other herbs). Then I’ll be moving all of the 1 gallon pots from tunnel #5 out to tunnel #8. Tunnel #8 is a long netted tunnel for cool weather crops like lettuce and other greens, cole crops, etc.. I use it to allow the seedlings to grow out prior to planting in the covered tunnels and other netted tunnels. Over the next couple of weeks I’ll be setting up more netted tunnels for crops. Tunnels have to be netted to keep Chaz, the farm dog from walking on them, as well as to protect them from poultry predation. Later in the year, some tunnels will be covered with fabric to protect cabbage, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cauliflower and romanesco from cabbage moths.
